7.9. Replacement of covers and CV JOINT dismantling
PERFORMANCE ORDER
Prevention

External CV JOINT not folding. More expedient from the point of view of expenses is semi-axis replacement assembled.
1. Remove a semi-axis.
2. Clamp a semi-axis in a vice through soft laying. Check radial люфт the CV JOINT and a cover condition. At detection of damages of a cover disassemble the hinge, clear details and examine.
3. Remove collars of covers, having unbent a latch screw-driver.
4. Carefully remove an external cover (or cut if the cover is strongly damaged).
5. Remove an internal cover from the case of the CV JOINT and remove the case.
6. Designate the mutual provision of a crosspiece and the case.
7. Remove a lock ring.
8. Bring down a crosspiece from a semi-axis through a brass opravka.
9. Carefully remove covers (if their condition satisfactory). At removal of a cover wrap up shlitsa a tape.
10. Wash out and examine all details. Check a condition of balls of the external CV JOINT. At detection of wear of balls replace the hinge (is on sale assembled with a semi-axis). Examine details of the internal CV JOINT, existence of scratches, poles and задиров is not allowed. If necessary replace a crosspiece.
11. At assembly dress covers, collars and establish on a semi-axis a crosspiece (a photo at the left). Grease a crosspiece and put greasing in the CV JOINT case (a photo on the right).
12. After installation of the case fill cavities with greasing.
13. Dress a cover so that edges came into flutes. At assembly sustain the assembly size of a semi-axis.
14. Straighten a cover edge.
15. For fixing of a collar wring out uvulas (a photo at the left) and bend (a photo on the right).
16. Establish a semi-axis.
