GENERAL INFORMATION

Regulator of pressure of the Toyota 4 Runner/Hilux/Surf car

The regulator of pressure is intended for change of pressure in a contour of brakes of lobbies and back wheels depending on load of forward and back axes. Load of a forward axis of not loaded lorry exceeds load of a back axis therefore when braking pressure in a contour of forward brakes should be higher than a contour of the back. If in the car there is a cargo, load of a back axis can exceed load of a lobby. Therefore, the regulator of pressure of considered cars provides pressure redistribution in contours of brakes depending on cargo.

Sensitive element of a regulator of pressure is the spring which is stretched depending on cargo weight. The initial tension of a spring is regulated. Into structure of a regulator enters dosing out and perepuskny valves.

Repair control of a regulator are carried out only in car-care center, it is independently possible to perform works on removal and installation (replacement). At a detachment of a rod of a regulator in case of dismantle of the back bridge adjustment of the unit is not required.

Prevention

After replacement of a regulator it should be checked at the special stand in car-care center.

Removal and installation
PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Lift the car.
2. Unscrew nuts of unions of a regulator, disconnect and muffle tubes.
3. Unscrew a lock-nut and turn out an adjusting bolt on the back lever.
4. Unscrew bolts and remove a regulator with an arm.
5. Installation is carried out upside-down. Adjust distance And, rotating a bolt. Remove air and a hydraulic actuator.
