Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect the battery from weight.
2. Remove the bottom guard of the engine.
3. Remove a casing and the fan.
4. Merge liquid and remove a radiator.
5. Remove belts of the generator and the pump of the hydraulic booster.
6. Disconnect from wire candles.
7. Lift a car front, block back wheels.
8. On engines of 3,0 l turn out hairpins from a branch pipe of cooling liquid.
9. On engines of 3,4 l remove the pump of the hydraulic booster and take aside.
10. Remove the conditioner compressor (see subsection 4.13).
11. Turn out candles.
12. Remove the top cover of a belt and laying. On engines of 3,4 l remove a nave of the fan and an arm.
13. Establish the piston of the 1st cylinder in VMT of a step of compression.
14. Check existence of adjusting labels on a gear belt. If necessary put labels.
15. Be convinced of combination of labels on a cam-shaft gear wheel (at the left – labels on the engine of 3,0 l, on the right – labels on the engine of 3,4 l).
16. Remove a natyazhitel and a cover (at the left – a natyazhitel of a gear belt on the engine of 3,0 l, on the right – a natyazhitel of a gear belt on the engine of 3,4 l, shooters specified bolts of a natyazhitel).
17. If the gear belt does not change, designate labels its situation on an asterisk of a cam-shaft of final valves.
18. Remove a gear belt from cam-shaft asterisks.
19. Examine asterisks of cam-shafts, if necessary replace. For this purpose uncover (covers) and holding a cam-shaft a key for лыски, unscrew a bolt and remove an asterisk.
20. Remove a roller of a natyazhitel of N 2.
21. Unscrew a crankshaft bolt, having fixed (shooter) a flywheel wreath (or holding a bolt of a disk of the hydrotransformer).
22. Once again check combination of labels of VMT on a pulley of the crankshaft and a motionless scale.
23. Remove a pulley by hand or by means of two screw-drivers, operating as with levers.
24. Remove the bottom cover of a belt and laying. On engines of 3,4 l previously remove a fan arm.
25. Remove a belt from a leading asterisk.
26. Remove a roller of a natyazhitel of N1.
27. Check label existence on a belt opposite to deepening in a leading asterisk, if necessary put a new label (if the belt does not change).
28. If necessary remove a leading asterisk by hand or by means of two screw-drivers, operating as with levers.

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Check a belt condition. In the presence of cracks, anguishes, the cuts, the cut-off teeths or if expired operation term, a belt replace.
2. Check потеков oils on a natyazhitel. The epiploon of a natyazhitel is serviceable if only weak traces from oil are observed from a plunzher.
3. Check a course of a plunzher, having rested it against a motionless surface. If the plunzher is displaced, a natyazhitel replace.
4. Check a vystupaniye of a plunzher of a natyazhitel. If the vystupaniye differs from normal, a natyazhitel replace.
5. Check freedom of rotation of rollers of a natyazhitel.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Clear a forward part of the engine.
2. On engines of 3,0 l combine labels on a wreath of a leading asterisk and on the case of the oil pump. Establish a leading asterisk so that the flange part was turned towards the engine.
3. On engines of 3,4 l do not damage an insert of the sensor of rotation of the crankshaft on a leading asterisk. Check combination of the specified labels.
4. Establish a roller of a natyazhitel of a N 1 belt, having greased 2–3 strings of a carving of a bolt of a natyazhitel with frictional structure. Tighten a bolt with the set moment.
5. Dress a gear belt, having got it on a leading asterisk. If the removed belt is established, combine labels on a belt, asterisks and the covers, put at removal.
6. Dress on the crankshaft directing cup, having turned it a convex surface towards the engine.
7. Dress a pulley of the crankshaft and tighten a bolt with the set moment, holding the crankshaft (shooter).
8. Establish the top roller of a natyazhitel. Tighten a bolt and check freedom of rotation of a roller.
9. Establish an asterisk of the left cam-shaft a flange part outside, having combined an opening in an asterisk with a cam-shaft pin.
10. Tighten an asterisk bolt with the set moment.
11. Again check labels and be convinced that the crankshaft was not turned rather starting position (at the left – combination of labels on the engine of 3,0 l, on the right – combination of labels on the engine of 3,4 l). If the removed belt puts on, establish it on the labels put at removal. If labels do not coincide, move a belt on a leading asterisk. The label on an asterisk of the left cam-shaft should be turned up and coincide with a label on a back cover of a belt.
12. The opening under a pin in an asterisk of the right cam-shaft should be turned up (at 12 o'clock). If necessary uncover heads of cylinders (if did not act in film) and turn a cam-shaft before combination of labels on a cam-shaft and on a back cover.
13. Turn the left cam-shaft to an hourly arrow approximately on one step between teeths. If the removed belt puts on, combine an adjusting label with a label on a cam-shaft asterisk. Dress a belt on an asterisk and turn a cam-shaft against an hour hand, having returned it to a starting position. The belt should have now a small tension.
14. Having combined an opening with a pin, establish an asterisk of the right cam-shaft so that the flange part was turned inside.
15. Tighten an asterisk bolt, keeping the provision of labels.
16. Dress on an asterisk a belt, having combined labels (if the removed belt is established).
17. Compress in a vice a natyazhitel and drown a plunzher. Fix a plunzher, having inserted into cross-section through openings a drill in diameter of 1,2 mm.
18. Establish a natyazhitel and tighten bolts.
19. Turn the crankshaft on 2 turns and check combination of labels. If labels are not combined, repeat all actions on belt installation. It is forbidden to start the engine until then yet there will be no full confidence of the correct installation of a belt.
20. Establish other details upside-down.
